- I never heard anything back from SoftWood regarding the comments and
- suggestions I posted here some months back, so this time I'm posting a
- request for help.
-
- Final Writer, on my machine, will not recognise the top and left margins
- when printing.
-
- I may be under a grand illusion here, but it would seem that if I set
- those margins (1 inch on all sides), both in master page and regular page
- set-up, and those margins show on my screen, then I should be able to get
- a printout showing/using those same margins.
-
- This never happens: all printouts are flush-top and flush-left w/ the
- printer-defined printable area, NOT the user-defined edit area as
- determined by the settings.
-
- As you may guess, this is a pretty major flaw for a Word Processor that
- is jockeying for market share under Windows. The problem has remained
- constant thru several upgrades.
-
- When I first discovered this problem, after installing the initial FW
- release, I called SoftWood technical support. The man I spoke with had
- no idea what I was talking about, and suggested I read the manual.
-
- Well, I've *read* the manual, several times, and if this tidbit is in
- there, it's hidden pretty darn well. I *can* brute-force this by
- changing the margin indicators on the screen from 1" to 2", and by
- installing a one-inch header w/ nothing in it. It's a slow and clumsy
- work-around, and it's tedious to do this for every document. I
- *certainly* don't need a fancy and expensive WP package when any text
- editor can keep track of margins.
-
- If *anyone* can tell me why the settings don't work, or how to make them
- take effect for printing, or if anyone has experienced this problem, please
- respond.

- Orthodox Christians assembled the Bible not to bring all the gospels

- gospels, Bishop Irenaeus compiled the first list of biblical writings
- that resemble today's New Testament around 180 CE.
